The facial muscles hold a significant amount of tension, and are the source of many problems for our clients. In addition, the face is one of the most richly sensitive and enervated regions of the body, both on the sensory and motor side. Because the facial region is often overlooked in massage, incorporating skillful work in this area can offer your clients a more complete whole body experience, and set your practice apart-- as well as feeling wonderful. This course will focus on integrated techniques for the cranium, scalp, face, neck and upper chest, as well as muscle-specific facial massage strokes and pressure points. The benefits of facial massage are extensive, including treatment for TMJ dysfunction, congestion and sinus issues, headaches, mood elevation, relaxation, and esthetic enhancement.
