Intraoral Certification: Structural Work for the Head, Neck, and Jaw

This class meets the 16-hour Washington State Intraoral Endorsement Requirement.

The jaw and neck hold tension and dysfunction for a very large percentage of the population, but few massage practitioners know how to specifically and effectively address it. This 16-hour class will give the most useful details of anatomy, ROM testing, structural assessment, and palpating and treating the most important and elusive regions. Specific content includes:

  • Specific anatomy of the upper cervical spine, TMJ, and jaw and cervical musculature

  • Visual ROM assessment for the neck, jaw, and face

  • Myofascial work for the cervical and jaw regions

  • Intraoral work for the temporal and pterygoid muscles

  • Discussion of the common symptoms for whiplash and TMJD
